Special Needs Unit (SNU) >Become a Respite Provider

The Special Needs Unit is Looking for You

The Special Needs Unit runs a respite program for parents who have children with developmental disabilities. The program provides occasional child care breaks for these families. Care is either provided in the child’s home or in a licensed child care setting. The special needs unit is always looking for providers who are interested in or have experience working with children with disabilities. Providers can become YMCA employees and provide In-Home respite care in the child’s home or they can become an independent contractor with the YMCA and provide Out-of-Home respite care in their licensed child care facility.
