Special Needs Unit (SNU) >About
The Special Needs Unit of the YMCA Childcare
Resource Service receives funding from the San Diego Regional
Center for the Developmentally Disabled to provide
respite services for families who have children with developmental
disabilities and who are Regional Center consumers. Services are
provided throughout San Diego County. The unit also provides after
school care for teens with special needs, trainings and workshops
for parents and providers as well as child care for local conferences
on special needs.
